City Council and Planning Commission to Hold Joint Work Session on Working Draft of Beauregard Plan

The Alexandria City Council and the Planning Commission will hold a joint work session on Monday, February 13, from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m., to receive an update on the working draft of the Beauregard Small Area Plan. The work session will take place in the West End Community Redevelopment Room at Landmark Mall, 5801 Duke Street.

Input from community residents, property owners and others have formed the basis for the Beauregard Plan. The Plan includes dedicated affordable housing, major transportation improvements, new public infrastructure including a fire station, designated open space for parks and plazas, and new retail around transit stops.

A hard copy of the draft plan is also available for review in Room 1900 at City Hall (301 King St.), at Burke Branch Library (4701 Seminary Rd.) and Beatley Central Library (5005 Duke St.). Public comments on the draft plan can be posted online at http://alexandriava.gov/BeauregardPlan or emailed to zunilda.rodriguez@alexandriava.gov.
